Update: New RheoCube Features
Update: New RheoCube Features
22 December 2020
Hot on the heels of releasing a new version of RheoCube in November, EAL announces the addition of more innovative RheoCube features. This continuous development is all part of our mission to empower scientists to bring their R&D to the next level. Discover what’s in the latest version of RheoCube below:
Batch Creation
You can more easily create and manage your experiments with our latest update! It is now possible to create a batch of new experiments based on your existing experiment- while varying a single parameter.
Object Tags
A new tracking system now helps to organize and keep track of objects (especially for experiments created in batches). Use any combination of tags to filter the project view.
Project View Changes
Filter by Tag
Now you can enter a tag to only see objects containing that tag. You can also utilize multiple tags to narrow down your search.
Column Sorting
In this latest version, we’ve implemented sorting on individual columns in the project view. Each column can now be sorted by name, date and latest update.
Card Redesign
A new card layout has been developed in response to changes in filtering and tagging.
Show/hide unrelated switch
If you want to only see components that are related to a selected component, this switch will hide unrelated components.
Temperature dependent density and viscosity
With our latest update, a single card can be created in which the temperature dependence of the mass density and viscosity of the fluid are defined.
Models
New particle model
The underlying models in RheoCube have been revised. They are now based on a “blob-spring” network.
Particle-Fluid interactions (HSP)
HSP-based interactions between particle surfaces and liquids are now activated.
Blob viscosity model
Improvements to the viscosity blending model facilitate a better look at the non-linear variation of blend viscosity with local concentrations of
components.
Thermal Conductivity
RheoCube users now have the option to input thermal conductivity for fluid and particle components.
Data Analysis and Visualization
In addition to a new tag system that narrows down searches, we’ve included functionality of thermal conductivity as a blob attribute, and vector summary metrics. This delivers stronger data analysis, enhances visualizations, and drives overall project confidence.
